2019 CISB Charity Ball 2019年度慈善舞会
Recently, our CISB Charity Ball Committee has been very busy preparing our upcoming Charity Ball. Clara is a member of the committee and the Chairman of CISB PA, so she’ll introduce how they organize this event and the highlights you can expect that night.
最近，CISB慈善晚宴组委会正在紧张忙碌着今年的慈善晚宴。Clara是组委会的成员，他也是CISB 家委会的主席。这次，我们请她来介绍一下他们组委会是如何组织这场活动的，以及当天晚会上一些值得期待的亮点。
Last year, our first charity ball was a great success and received lots of support from our CISB community.
去年，CISB首届慈善晚宴举办的非常成功，得到了学校和家长们的大力支持和好评。
This year, we are so glad to host this meaningful event again. Our Charity Ball is organized by our charity ball committee that consists of board director Mr. Andy Truong, head of school Mr. Douglas Prescott, staff representatives, Mr. Ryan Walsh, Ms. Vivian Kormylo, Ms, Hilary Yang, and 8 members of our Parent Association.
今年，我们很荣幸继续举办这个有意义的活动。这次活动是由董事会Andy先生、校长Douglas Prescott、学校老师们Mr. Ryan Walsh、Ms. Vivian Kormylo、Ms. Hilary Yang还有另外8位学校家委会的晚宴组委会。
We are going to invite Chargé d’Affaires Mr. Jim Nickel from the Canadian Embassy. Ms. He Jing and Mr. Liu Yiwei will be the MCs. We also have a special guest, Ms. Chang Sisi, who is a famous Chinese folk singer, and perform for us that night.
我们将会邀请到代表加拿大使馆的Mr. Jim Nickel先生、央视主持人何晶、刘仪伟担任主持人、还有著名民歌歌手常思思出席活动现场。
People can join us in many different ways. The theme of this year’s event is Love in Action. We hope that more community members can join us and do something to help children with leukemia. Love in Action can change lives. Before the charity ball, we organized an In-school art auction on February 28th. Our students donated their art works and we raised 17,850 RMB for Aiyou Foundation’s Angel Program to help children with leukemia.
今年，参与捐助活动的方式有很多种。今年的主题是“用爱创造奇迹“。在2月28日，我们先在校内进行了一场迷你拍卖会。会上的艺术作品全部来自于学生的创作，总共筹集了1,7850人民币，此次捐款将全部用于帮助由爱佑基金会成立为患有白血病儿童的项目。同时，代表我校6位初中学生去儿研所看望白血病儿童，对他们表示关心，送去礼物。这次，我们还新开设了线上拍卖，欢迎所有CISB的成员积极参与。所有奖品都是由赞助商所提供，有和睦家医院、跳舞课程、Vitaland餐厅等礼品卡。
At the same time, six of our high school students visited kids with leukemia in the Capital Institute of Pediatrics, where they talked with them and bought gifts for them. We also have an online auction, and it is open to all CISB community members. Prizes include gifts cards from our amazing sponsors, such as UFH medical, Dancing courses, and Vitaland restaurant.

It’s a challenging first experience for us to organize such an event, but we always do our very best to provide the best we can. I want to thank the support of our CISB community; it really helps us a lot. For example, one parent’s company offered to record the song performed by our student choir that will be displayed at the ball. Our parent choir, which consists of 30 parents, has been practicing very hard for the last few months to perform on stage, to show the love and care from our parent community forchildren with leukemia. I believe that everyone will have a very especial night!
组织这类型活动，对我们来讲充满了挑战。虽然没有太多的经验，但我们会尽力做到最好，为大家呈现一场难忘的晚宴。在此，我要特别感谢CISB这温暖的大家庭，学校和家长都给予了我们很多帮助。例如，我校家长的公司帮助我们录制学校合唱团将在晚宴表扬的歌曲。 由20位家长组织的合唱团，在过去几个月里，他们一直在努力排练演出的作品，以表达对白血病儿童的爱和关怀。我相信，今年的晚宴能给大家带来非常不一样的体验！
Join us next Saturday, March 30that Nuo Hotel! The more moneywe raise, the more children we can help. We hope is that we can raise 600,000 RMB this year!
